‘No, I don’t think I’m getting cancer’: An insider’s account of what it’s like to live with stage 4 colon cancer

Posted February 05, 2018 11:22:12I’ve never met anyone with stage four colorectal cancer before.
It’s something I’ve never felt, and it’s something that I dont feel I can control.
So I just want to try and be supportive, but also just be as supportive as I can.
I had surgery at the end of February, and Ive had chemo for six months.
And, really, its just a matter of me taking it as it is, and getting through it.
I have to be supportive of what my doctor has done and what theyve been saying. I dont want to be a burden on him, but Im still hoping that when he goes home, Ill be able to be there to support him.
I think thats what itll take for me to feel comfortable, to have a supportive relationship with my doctor and the support of the other doctors and nurses.
Its really hard, but itd be nice to be able support him if thatre what he needs.
I really donts know if Ire going to be OK at all. I think Id probably get through it in a couple of months, but, you know, I have no idea.
I think itre just going to take some time.
I want to do as much as I possibly can to make sure Is there to help him.
