DENVER — A meeting between Denver Health’s leadership and health care professionals, a national public health summit and the United Nations has been set for Thursday at the Colorado Convention Center.
Denver Health has called the meeting to discuss what happened to the patients at the two hospitals and their families, according to a press release from the nonprofit organization.
The meeting is being held in the Denver Convention Center’s Convention Center Hall, which is located in the heart of the city’s downtown.
The Denver Health leaders and healthcare professionals will discuss issues of health care access, care management, access to health care and the role of the government in the health care system, according the press release.
Denver Public Health Commissioner and former Colorado Governor John Suthers will also be on hand to share his thoughts on the event, which the Colorado Health Commission has called a “public forum.”
The Colorado Health Commissioners office says the conference will focus on how to ensure that people receive the best care they need, including a discussion of ways to increase access to quality healthcare in communities across the state.
The Colorado Association of Counties says Denver Health plans to be there, too.
